After a very successful exhibition in November last year we are once again staging another weekend exhibition in the Glasshouse, Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa.

Another very successful weekend exhibition was held in the Glasshouse, Jephson Gardens, Leamington Spa, drawing lots of enthusiastic comments from visitors.

Our “Spring into Art " exhibition, provided an opportunity to exhibit for artists living and working in the Midlands. It was held at Rugby Art Gallery and Museum (on Floor One).

In spite of the extreme weather conditions, the AMA tent show
proved to be an undoubted success. A steady stream of visitors
passed through and viewed the exhibits and the work
had a diversity that reflected well on the aims and
intentions of the AMA and our members.
Carey Moon was showing her delicately-painted porcelain ceramics and three of her
new paintings.
Mike and Anna Patrick had a diverse display of 2-D
work and attracted plenty of attention with their dedicated
support to Ukraine funding.
Julie Law was showing her rich explosions of colour and next to her
Frances Carr was presenting her paintings of Leamington,
Edinburgh, and other landscapes together with some attractive
miniatures.
Jo Price had her beautiful hand-built pottery displayed amongst
rustic wood boxes and other items.
Kath Jones showed her skilfully conceived and controlled
landscapes.
Soolie Burke was exhibiting her elegant coastal landscapes.
Dee Luntley has been developing work in lino-printing
and showed some very well crafted examples of the medium
together with a number of paintings.
Finally, Marie Calvert presented her expressively painted coastal
scenes, mainly small works that generated much interest.

There was a great deal of camaraderie in the tent, much of it
generated by the oppressive heat.

The sun shone and visitors streamed in to our first exhibition since the pandemic
began. We had over 450 visitors over these two and a half days. Twenty two
members exhibited a wide range of 2D, and 3D works. This was the first time we
had used the studio. It's position in the middle of Jephson gardens generated a
large and steady footfall. It was a difficult exhibition to put together at short notice
- confusion about timing of access made the opening challenging. The result,
however, was a joyous expression of the range of making within the association.
Well done to everyone who helped and exhibited.
